ohmyglob, still here!

My goodness, is that nearly a year since my last post? Hah!

Not to say that I've forgotten this site, far from it. I've been browsing through some pretty pictures, to the point that I've Liked the dA page so it would be easier for me to go through them.

So, perhaps since it's been -quite- a while indeed, updates are in order.

1. Well, judging from the length of time since the last post, suffice to say that I've passed my compre and I'm now working on my thesis proposal. Due to time constraints and a personal anxiety on what I really want, I've deferred my defense of the proposal for next term. Hopefully, I'll be able to get it together soon so I can finally (FINALLY) start working on my novel.

2. I have a new job! It's a BPO-type of job, but definitely less stressful from when I was a teacher. Although, it still has its challenges. Basically, I'm being paid to make essays better - no, not proofreading and editing - it's more of tutoring for the student to make her or his own revisions. It's like I'm still checking essays...but it's the paper I'm looking at and not the students themselves.

3. For the first time, I am giving myself permission to have a crush on someone, but with "extreme caution." Due to my jaded view on this particular aspect of life, I am not fully letting myself go into my emotions. The intellectualization mechanism is at its highest right now, but I'm trying to herd it in a bit. Confused? You're not alone.

So there! These are probably the latest, more important updates so far. Now, the next question is when I can update again? I'm just as clueless as you are.
